My sheet steel, plasma cut & welded 4 foot tall “CLOUD” sculpture has 15 coats of primer and gold paint and has moved into our front yard. Learning to use a plasma cutter and weld as someone in their 70’s makes me feel good about my ability to learn.

This is my second effort to capture the patterns I hear in the music by the German Tanz-Metall band Rammstein from the 1997 album Sehnsucht. The song is one of the band’s best known because of its inclusion on the soundtrack of The Matrix . My first effort in Fabric was created in March of 2014.

Because I “see” what I hear as a Synesthete, I thought this an appropriate selfie image for me.
Inspired by the highest known cloud formations in Earth’s atmosphere, the noctilucent clouds, which form in the mesosphere around 52 miles up.
